Mohammed Salisu and Kevin-Prince Boateng are among some Ghanaian internationals who could be part of the squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations. According to reports in the local media, Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has monitored these players as well as others, who have been playing active for their clubs. Having watched these players, reports are rife that Milovan Rajevac is impressed with their performance and has been speaking with some of them to convince them to join his team for the continental competition.

With Mohammed Salisu, numerous moves have been made to get him on board. During the tenure of Charles Akonnor, contacts were established to invite him for national duties but that could not see the light of day. Meanwhile, the defender continues to make a mark for English Premier League side Southampton, courting admiration and commendation from Ghanaians. Football loving fans have expressed interest in seeing Moahmmed Salisu wearing the Red, Gold and Green colors for Ghana. Milovan Rajevac is fully satisfied with his output and is ready to infuse him in the list that will be traveling to Cameroon for Nations Cup.

On Kevin-Prince Boateng, reports indicate that Milovan Rajevac looks to bolster his squad with seasoned players and the former AC Milan midfielder could be part of them. His stint with the national team has been an underlying factor that could pave way for his return. Milovan Rajevac has monitored Kevin Prince Boateng and is set to invite him for the impending assignment in January 2022.

Other players have been monitored by the coach.

Head coach Milovan Rajevac will be announcing his squad to hit the grounds running for the continental showpiece this month. The list is scheduled for early announcement for teams to fill the possible lacuna that will come forth due to the tournament. The yet-to-be announced squad will be made up of foreign and local players. As reported earlier, some five local players have been penciled for call up.

Players who have excelled in recent games have a huge advantage of making the number and the final cut. In the quest to win the continental competition, Milovan Rajevac is required to parade the best material capable of conquering remaining teams and annex the ultimate. Players who have had an active season are deemed fit for the upcoming rigorous assignment.

With the call up, the Serbian tactician could opt for more players and prune down later, or make a final list.
