Don’t Beat Us; Send Us To Police; Crying Thieves Beg On Their Knee After Robbing A Poor Widow’s Shop

It was dramatic after two notorious petty thieves were arrested by the local community security guards. Immediately they hinted on handing them over to the police, Drama started. The two thieves fell on their knees and begged them to be quick in order to avoid beating.

The two had cut open a small container shop belonging to a poor widow called Ante Asafua. It later emerged that they had carried the same exercise in many container shops at Sunyani Fiapre in the Bono Region.

Initially, they lied that the provisions in their custody were bought the previous day to celebrate a birthday party. After series of checks, it turned out to be stolen items.

Some of the items were Malt drinks milo, chewing gum and Nido in sachets. The two were given a slight beating and handed over to the police for official interrogation and subsequent trial. If guilty, they may be jailed for stealing.
