Just a few hours ago, the Criminal Court 1 Division of the High Court has asked socialite Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Poloo to go and serve her 82 days jail term left.
This news came in as a complete shock to many Ghanaians because it was perceived that the court would have been more merciful with her.

Lawyer Andrew Vortia, the legal counsel for Akuapem Poloo has shared his thoughts following his client’s case and according to him, the court was excessively harsh.
Whiles speaking with some media men, he explained that the actress and her kid have built a strong bond and that separating them would be detrimental to both of them.
He went on to add that, even the defense acknowledged that the ruling was harsh on Akuapem Poloo.

Backstory
Recall somewhere in April this year, Akuapem Poloo was released from the Nsawam Female prison three days after she was granted bail by the High Court in Accra.
The socialite regained her freedom after she fully met the bail conditions as set out by the criminal division of the Accra High court.
The court granted her bail in the sum of GHc80, 000 with two sureties. In addition to the bail, she is to report to the case investigator every two weeks and is to deposit her passport with the registrar of the court.
Poloo was sentenced to serve a 90-day jail term by the Circuit Court in Accra after pleading guilty to three charges including publication of obscene materials involving her 7-year-old son.
