Ghanaians are still in a state of shock after finance minister Ken Ofori -Atta and Minister of communication Ursula Owusu dropped a bomb that all payments made via electronics was going taxed.
A lot of angry Ghanaians have bashed the government over the decision especially since most businesses will be affected.
Reacting to this, Nana Aba Anamoah who was unhappy about the introduction of the new taxes took to her social media pages to remind the vice president of Ghana Dr Mahamadu Bawumia about his promise.
According to Nana Aba, she can’t fathom why Dr Bawumia will go back on his word after promising that mobile money transactions was not going to be taxed.
The finance minister disclosed that there will be a charge of 1.75% on all mobile money transactions.
