Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will today deliver a public lecture on digital economy to be hosted by Ashesi University, in Accra, on the topic “Using digitalisation to transform an economy – The Ghana story.”
The Vice President will use the highly-anticipated lecture to explain more on how digitalisation is transforming the economy and positioning Ghana for the emerging global digital revolution.
Dr. Bawumia, who has spearheaded government’s successful digitalisation drive, will also have an interactive session with students of the private university as he opens up on the government’s vision, the measures undertaken so far, as well as address the impact of digitalisation on the general Ghanaian economy and service delivery, both by government and the private sector.
Several international organisations will be present, and with Ghana globally renowned as a digitalisation pacesetter on the African continent, Dr. Bawumia is also expected to highlight Ghana’s success story to inspire other African countries to emulate Ghana’s lead.
