Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is known as Shatta Wale made his first appearance in court today.

The award-winning dancehall musician was dragged to court for causing fear and panic among the public domain with the stunt he pulled that he has been shot.

He was arrested on Tuesday, October 19 and although there were reports that he has been granted bail, the police came out to deny it.

He appeared in court today and he was heavily guarded by armed policemen. Watch the video below;

Shatta Wale is likely to spend five years in jail or pay a whopping sum of GHC 36,000 for causing fear and panic.

This was made known by the renowned Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, the musician is likely to be slapped with a jail term of five years or pay a fine of GHC 36,000.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw made this known in a recent submission he had on Hitz FM when he was interviewed by Andy Dosty during the DayBreak Hitz program on Wednesday, October 20.
