Cardi B has pleaded not guilty to assault charges and faces up to four years in prison for her alleged role in a strip club brawl in 2018.

According to CBS 2 News, the rapper will appear in Queens Criminal Court on October 25 for a hearing. The Bronx native pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in 2019, after being charged with 12 counts, including two counts of felony attempted assault and one count of reckless endangerment, according to the report.

Cardi is accused of orchestrating an attack on the Wattley sisters, who were bartending at a Flushing, Queens, strip club at the time of the incident.

During their scuffle, the sisters claimed the Grammy-winning artist and two of her close associates threw glass bottles and drinks at them. During the altercation, one sister claimed that her head was slammed into the bar.

According to court documents, Cardi B planned the attack over social media with two of her friends, Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush, where the trio coordinated a date, time, and location to assault the bartending sisters.

According to sources, the rapper allegedly orchestrated the attack in retaliation for one of the sisters who she believed had slept with her husband Offset at the time.

Cardi and her friends could face up to four years in prison if convicted.
