The advent of social media bringing people together has metamorphosed into people finding their rightful life partners just by a Direct Message (DM), random comments or through a fortunate stroke of serendipity.
Your lover may just be a DM away.
That is definitely how A Ghanaian lawyer got married to a businessman who slide into her Instagram DM, had a chit-chat and allowed the rest to unfold by itself. Usually, people say, and the rest was history.
Well, the rest was not history at all. This is the fairytale love story of how Lawyer Adwoa Amoako Adjei and Nabil George Khairallah got to meet each other, develop friendship that redeveloped into marriage just by a DM he sent her in 2019.
Adwoa Amoako Adjei, a young Ghanaian lawyer, married her partner whom she met on Instagram over the weekend, ushering them into the next stage of their modern fairytale romance.
Nabil George Khairallah, now her husband, ‘slid’ into Adwoa’s Instagram DM on her birthday in 2019 with a birthday greeting.
He sent her another message three days later, asking where she went to school because she looked familiar to him.
The conversation progressed from there, and two years later, the couple has begun a matrimonial life.
In an Instagram post, Adwoa said in the 21st century, it shouldn’t be hard for people to connect and even find their loved ones on social media.
She wrote: People asked how we got to know each other. It was one of the most 21st century way ever. Slide to see how slick he was trying to be🌚. BTW, I want to say a general THANK YOU to all who wished us well, all who attended and all who gifted. ❤️❤️. God bless you all 🙏🏾❤️ #khad21
