Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United has been named Premier League Player of the Month for September, while Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been named Manager of the Month.
Ronaldo has won Player of the Month for the fifth time in his career after a strong start to his second stint at Old Trafford.

He won the award ahead of Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, and Watford’s Ismaila Sarr, who each scored five goals in six appearances.
He scored twice on his debut against Newcastle at Old Trafford, and he added another in United’s dramatic win over West Ham.

Ronaldo’s teammates have spoken about his influence both on and off the field, with Jesse Lingard saying, “He’s been brilliant.”
Arteta was named Manager of the Month in September after his Arsenal team won all three of their league games.
