Oct. 6 (UPI) — Kylie Minogue is back with new music.
The 53-year-old singer released a single and music video for the song “A Second to Midnight” on Wednesday.
“A Second to Midnight” features Years & Years, the solo project of singer Olly Alexander. The video shows Minogue and Alexander singing and performing a choreographed dance routine.
“I’m chasing after midnight / Show me the way to your heart / Ready for the start of my real life / To shine like a light in the dark,” Minogue sings.
“Thank you @yearsandyears for joining me on this song! I had so much fun channeling my inner Olly in this video – felt like a KING,” Minogue wrote on Instagram.
In the comments, Alexander said the video shoot was the “best day” of his life.
“Kylie is everything and working with her was a literal dream come true,” Alexander added in a post on his own account. “Her music has consistently inspired me since I was a kid, she is a true icon I am pinching myself this actually happened!”
“Thank you Kylie for this amazing experience, working together was so fun and I’ll never get over being on set with you, I got chills just being there as you did your thing! Actual Kylie Minogue!” he said. “I’m so so so happy to have created this song with you.”
“A Second to Midnight” appears on Minogue’s album Disco: Guest List Edition, set for release Nov. 12. The album is a repackaged version of Minogue’s album Disco that features guest artists.
