Oct. 7 (UPI) — An Indian athlete who stands at 3 feet, 4 inches tall has been named the world’s shortest competitive bodybuilder by Guinness World Records.

Pratik Vitthal Mohite, 25, told Guinness World Records he began bodybuilding in 2012, and participated in his first competitive event in 2016.

“My family are very happy and proud of me and my friends are very supportive and helpful,” he said.

Mohite was born with unusually short arms and legs and later was diagnosed with a form of dwarfism.

He said a friend suggested he apply to Guinness to see if he is the world’s shortest bodybuilder, and he was confirmed to hold the record after a lengthy delay brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was my dream to achieve a Guinness World Records title, and it’s such an honor to achieve it. I’m very happy and till now this will be my biggest achievement in my career,” Mohite said.

The strongman said he now has his sights set on breaking another world record: most push-ups in one minute.
