Oct. 5 (UPI) — Netflix is giving a glimpse of the new film Hypnotic.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the horror film Tuesday featuring Kate Siegel as Jenn, a young woman seeking self-improvement.
The preview shows Jenn (Siegel) seek the help of a renowned hypnotist (Jason O’Mara) on her friend’s recommendation. After a handful of intense sessions, Jenn discovers unexpected and deadly consequences.
Hypnotic is directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, who previously worked on the Netflix horror film The Open House. The film co-stars Dulé Hill.
Angel and Coote described Hypnotic as “non-stop.”
“Our goal with a film like this is for the audience to have fun,” the pair said. “There are a lot of great psychological elements and big twists and turns. We love films like this, and at the end of the day, we hope the audience walks away having enjoyed the ride.”
Siegel is known for her roles in the Netflix horror series The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass.
Hypnotic premieres Oct. 27 on Netflix.
