Oct. 1 (UPI) — Princess Beatrice says she named her newborn daughter Sienna Elizabeth.
The British royal, 33, shared the name Friday on Twitter after giving birth to her baby girl last week.
Sienna Elizabeth pays tribute to Beatrice’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Beatrice’s cousins also honored the queen, with Prince William naming his daughter Charlotte Elizabeth and Prince Harry naming his baby girl Lilibet.
Sienna is Beatrice’s first child with her husband, Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi. Mozzi also has a 5-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, with his ex-fiancée, Dara Huang.
“We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi,” Beatrice tweeted alongside a photo of her baby girl’s footprints. “We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.”
Mozzi voiced his love for Sienna and his family on Instagram.
“Our life together has just begun, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that await us,” Mozzi wrote.
“Feeling so much love and gratitude for my amazing wife, baby Sienna and Wolfie. These are the days I never want to forget. This week, a friend said to me the sweetest saying…. that with every child you grow a whole new heart,” he said.
Beatrice, the elder daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, gave birth to her daughter Sept. 18.
Beatrice and Mozzi quietly married in July 2020 and announced in May that they were expecting their first child together.
Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, welcomed her first child, son August Philip Hawke, with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, in February.
