Sept. 30 (UPI) — Xavier Prather won Big Brother Season 23, becoming the show’s first Black winner.
Prather took home the grand prize of $750,000 on Wednesday after he received all nine jury votes over Derek Frazier.
Azah Awasum made it to third place. The trio were a part of the Cookout alliance, which included all Black members. The group started to work together early in Season 23 so that one of them could win.
Contestant Tiffany Mitchell won America’s Favorite Houseguest and won a $50,000 prize.
Big Brother will be returning with host Julie Chen for Season 24 next summer. Applications are open for potential contestants. Celebrity Big Brother will be returning sooner in February.
