President Akufo-Addo is expected to name MMDCEs any time soon
A youth group in Nsawam Adoagyiri is advocating for the appointment of one Mr. Daniel Kwesi Aning as the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE).
Failure to appoint him would lead to massive demonstration, leader of the group, Henry Ofori Atta, said.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, he said the person they have proposed is not only competent but efficient.
He suggested the current MCE has failed, he is incompetent and not a unifier. He has no record and must be removed.
He alleged that the current MCE is working against the party, and if not removed, he could destroy the gains of the party.
He further stated that the current MP is from Adoagyiri, and the MCE must come from Nsawam to balance the equation.
He insisted the youth in the area want, Mr. Kwesi Aning to be appointed since he is someone with a track record.
He said the man had created jobs for the youth in the area, bought cars for them to operate as taxis, hence such a person deserves to be appointed MCE.
He appealed to President Akufo-Addo to send his men to the municipality to conduct their own investigation, so they would discover who the people prefer as MCE.
