Daniel Afriyie Barnie has said that he and his Hearts teammates are confident going into what will be a ‘special game’ against Guinean side C.I. Kamsar on Sunday.
Speaking to phobianews.com after Hearts’ victory over lower-tier side Banana Inn FC in a friendly on Wednesday, Barnie stressed how important it is for his side to win the game.
“It’s a special game. It is a one-off game so everyone will play for victory ” Barnie explained.
“We have confidence we can play like it’s a normal game. It’s important of course but in the end, our target is just one target: we need to win the game and advance to the next stage of the competition.”
The Ghanaian champions are hosting their Guinea counterparts in a one-off game at the Accra Sports stadium. The game was originally supposed to be a two-legged affair but the continent’s football governing body CAF had to rescind their decision due to the current political unrest in Guinea.
