Ex-Black Stars head coach, Kevin-Prince Boateng was spotted on the touchline over the past weekend when his Hertha Berlin side defeated VfL Bochum 3-1 in the German Bundesliga.
The experienced attacker returned to his boyhood club this summer to help the side in their campaign in the German Bundesliga this season.
In the game against Bochum on Sunday, KP Boateng was asked to act as a deputy coach and instructed by manager Pal Dardai to keep things calm.
To the surprise of many, he was equally up to the task and issued out instructions that helped Hertha Berlin to secure the big win at the end of the contest.
After the match, manager Pal Dardai commended KP Boateng for the good job done.
“When I came on, I told him to bring home the win, to save the three, give commands behind the front and keep things calm. He did an outstanding job,” the Hertha gaffer said.
He continued, “That was a job win, everyone on the pitch gave everything and fought for the team. Those who didn’t want to work are all gone. Now it’s right.”
Checks have revealed that KP Boateng will play similar roles at the club this season. He is said to be understudying the Hertha Berlin coach.
