National Women’s Organiser of the NDC, Dr. Hannah Bisiw, has urged her party members to unite ahead of the party’s victory in the 2024 elections.
The former Deputy Minister for Agriculture said the NDC was putting measures in place to ensure that they secure a resounding victory in the next general elections through revised internal electoral reforms.
To her, the measures when well implemented coupled with vigilance would prevent the party from relying on the law courts to settle any ” electoral fraud.”
“No more court in 2024. We will win the elections at the polling centres,” Hannah Bissiw vowed in an interview on Twi Radio in Germany.
The NDC women’s leader is in Germany to visit the party’s branches in the European country as part of her restrategising agenda in the diaspora, having embarked on a similar task in the 16 regions of Ghana.
Dr. Bissiw believes the ‘Do or Die’ comment by the 2020 presidential candidate of the NDC, former President John Dramani Mahama, is a call to get selfless members of the party to man up and defend the democracy of the country during elections to ensure a free and fair poll.
“My focus is on the 2024 elections now and at this time, it’s a do or die affair,” she stressed. “No more court; we are winning at the polling stations.”
Dr. Bissiw believes the 2020 elections were not free and fair hence the reason the party base needs to be revitalised after the results of the polls demoralised them.
She has pledged to touch base with the grassroots in Europe and encourage the party members and sympathisers to even work harder for their electoral success in 2024.
