Sept. 12 (UPI) — Netflix chess drama, The Queen’s Gambit, and Disney+ sci-fi adventures, WandaVision and The Mandalorian, each won multiple Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday.
The Queen’s Gambit earned the statuettes for Outstanding Period Costumes, Outstanding Period and/or Character Makeup (Non-Prosthetic,) Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More,) Outstanding Cinematography for a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie.
WandaVision picked up the prizes for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (Half-Hour,) while The Mandalorian scored the trophies for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (Half-Hour) and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup.
FX’s Pose earned the accolades for Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling, Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes.
Netflix’s The Crown won in the categories of Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (One Hour or More) and Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series.
NBC’s Saturday Night Live earned the prizes for Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling for a Variety Non-Fiction or Reality Show, Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Non-Fiction or Reality Show and Outstanding Contemporary Makeup for a Variety Non-Fiction or Reality Show (Non-Prosthetic.)
