Kwaakwa, Musician
Ghanaian musician Kwaakwa has stated that pursuing music alone is not enough.
It is for this reason that he is into the second-hand clothing business.
Appearing on Rainbow Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5.Fm, Kwaakwa disclosed that he is not only serious about the music business but the second-hand clothing business.
According to him, the second-hand clothing business is something he has invested a lot in and cannot let it go down the drain.
Kwaakwa told host DJ Slash that he funds his music through his second-hand clothing business.
He said a musician cannot pursue a full-time career in music without financial support.
He indicated that without money, one can not succeed as a musician and so, he is currently putting in a lot of effort to ensure he can breakthrough.
He added until he gets signed to a record label, he would not depend on anyone but push harder for himself.
Kwaakwa, who is legally known as Christian Kwabena Kwaakwa Amoah, further argued that aside from music, musicians must have other sources of income.
Kwaakwa is known in West Africa for his soul-soothing vocals and electrifying stagecraft.
Before MTN Project Fame, he had participated in TV3 reality show, Mentor season 4, and appeared on Vodafone Icons in 2012 with his then boyband, Vybes.
He has released singles like “Cherie Amore”, “Jogodo”, “Body”, “Bum Shorts” and “African Lady” with the current one being “Problem”.
