Stars emerging from Kumasi have named themselves Kumericans. The movement consists of artists who are mainly into trap and drill music. The movement kicked off with the likes of Yaw Tog, the Asakaa Boys made up of O’Keneth, City Boy, Jay Bhad and Reggie, Kofi Jamar, Kweku Darlington, Y Pee, and other emerging stars.
Yesterday during the United , some of these stars were present on the show to narrate their stories and how to shot to fame with their music. Kofi Jamar, Kwame Yogot, Black Sherif and Kweku Darlington were present on the show.

In other news, award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has for one been against the industry players in the Ghana music industry. He seeks to correct some wrongs in the music industry, making sure musicians are being treated the right way and given what they deserve.
He has fought against some award schemes and organizers he believes are running their shows based on favoritism and partiality. The VGMA’s, Ghana Awards, and the 3Music Awards have all been victims of Shatta Wale’s melodrama.
