In other news, famous Ghanaian Gospel artist, Joe Mettle has shared his opinion about the government’s intentions to construct a National Cathedral for the nation.
The Akufo Addo-led government is currently on the move to construct a National Cathedral for the nation. This was revealed during the 2021 budget review read by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta.
Earlier, the government launched a “Ketewa Biaara Sua” fundraising aimed at gathering funds from Ghanaians to aid in the construction of the National Cathedral. The idea is for Ghanaians to donate at least GHc100 monthly for the move. The Chief Imam was reported to have donated GHc50,000 to the cause, the move many describe as unnecessary.
