Former President John Dramani Mahama
The 2020 Suame Constituency Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Francis Dodovi has emphasized that former President John Dramani Mahama has no option than to lead the party in the 2024 general elections.
According to Francis Dodovi, NDC will force former President John Dramani Mahama to be the flagbearer of the party even if he is unwilling to lead the party in the 2020 general elections.
Speaking in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo, Francis Dodovi explained that only former President John Dramani Mahama has the track records which will help the party to win the 2020 general elections.
“John Dramani Mahama’s dead body will be the flagbearer of the NDC even if he dies before the election because he has no option but to lead the party” Dodovi explained.
“As it stands now, no NDC member can win power for NDC apart from former President John Dramani Mahama,” he said while explaining why the former President needs to lead the NDC in 2024.
Francis Dodovi added that “Some of us will be glad if John Dramani Mahama goes unopposed because he is the best man to lead that party”.
“Ghanaians who voted for NPP have regretted making that mistake because of the hardship under President Akufo-Addo’s government,” he stated.
