Fast-rising singer, Andrew Nii Commey Otoo popularly known as Mr. Drew has shot down claims he stole some part of Fireboy DML song, Peru to compose his song, Shuperu’ that featured Kidi.
Following the release of the much-anticipated single by Mr Drew titled, Shuperu, rumours were rife that he had taken a part of Fireboy DML’s song to create his own version.
Fireboy DML’s Peru song kind of feels similar in some aspects with Mr Drew’s Shuperu song but they ultimately have some different notes and sounds.
According to Mr Drew, he had planned his Shuperu song way before Fireboy released his Peru song and the only difference was the release dates of the tracks.
He explained that people who had heard the Shuperu song way before it was released can verify that even though Fireboy released his song before his, everything about the song was intact in the months leading up to the release of his song so there was no copying whatsoever from Fireboy in his song.
