The founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah sees nothing wrong with the highly criticized “Do or Die” comment by former President John Dramani Mahama.

The 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress has come under criticism after his highly publicized interview with Techiman-based Akina Radio where he indicated that the umbrella party had learnt lessons from election 2020.

He indicated that they will be vigilant at the various polling stations because they do not intend to go to court again adding that the 2024 election will be a “Do or Die” affair.

But reacting to the comment, Rev. Owusu Bempah indicated that he sees nothing wrong with the idiomatic expression by the former President.

Owusu Bempah believes it does not connote violence like people want to make the world think but rather proves how serious the former President intends to approach the 2024 elections.

“I don’t have anything to say about this because I remember when I was a footballer when we have football matches, if the match is tough we say the match is do and die but that did not mean we were going to fight and kill others.”

“It meant we will take our chances and play gallantly so we could win. So the word do and die does not connote violence. Maybe the former President wanted to communicate to us how serious he approaches the 2024 election and the fact that he will do his homework very well,” he said on Accra-based Neat FM.
