Sept. 10 (UPI) — A new Wolverine video game and a Spider-Man sequel are in development for the PlayStation 5.
Both titles were teased on Thursday during Sony’s livestreamed PlayStation Showcase event and will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.
Developer Insomniac Games is handling both projects after the studio released Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 in 2018 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales for the PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2020.
Wolverine sits at a bar alone following a violent brawl in the teaser trailer. The popular X-Men character is finishing his drink when an attacker attempts to approach him from behind.
Wolverine then displays his signature claws as the clips ends. No release date was given.
The teaser trailer for Spider-Man 2 features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales working together to take out a group of villains before they are approached by Venom.
Spider-Man 2 will be released in 2023.
The PlayStation Showcase also featured new looks at God of War: Ragnarok, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Deathloop, Gran Turismo 7 and a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, among other games.
