A 19-year-old resident of Assin Fosu Habitat, Emmanuel Addae has been sentenced to 20 years in prison custody by a Cape Coast Circuit Court.

The court presided over by Her Honour, Mrs Dorinda Smith Arthur gave her judgement based on the crime committed by Emmanuel Addae.

The suspect who parades by the moniker, Kofi Yesu is said to have attacked 21-year-old Irene Agyapong, an accountant at First Store Enterprise on May 13, 2021, in Assin Fosu.

Irene Agyapong sustained machete wounds from the attack as the suspect and his accomplices used machetes and other offensive weapons to attack her.

They managed to make away with her phone and an undisclosed amount of money.

He was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against him.
