Popular rapper, Armstrong Affum also known as ‘Opanka’ has stated that Ghanaians are not open-minded and as such, he is careful when creating lyrics for his songs.

Speaking to Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, the ‘microphone abuser’ cited an instance where musicians have been affiliated to political parties due to their lyrical content.

“One thing about Ghanaians is that we are not open-minded so if you talk about some societal issues then you’ll be linked to a particular political party. If you say something that favours some people then they conclude that you belong to party A or party B,” he stated.

“So there are certain things that when you want to say and you are not careful about it, your name will be tarnished,” he added.

One can recall that Dadie Opanka recently disclosed that his decision to switch from secular to inspirational music is not borne out of his near-death experience.
