Sept. 3 (UPI) — Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has been renewed for a fifth season by MTV and will see the return of franchise star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi.
The renewal came in time for the Season 4 finale on Thursday, which featured Polizzi.
“Get ready for more [expletive] shows,” Polizzi said on Twitter in response to the Season 5 renewal.
Polizzi announced that she was exiting Jersey Shore: Family Vacation after Season 3 on her podcast in December 2019.
“I basically had to just think about my kids and where I’m at in my life right now. It’s just really, really hard for me to leave and film the show with three kids now,” she said previously about exiting the series on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February 2020.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is a continuation of the original Jersey Shore, which ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2012.
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, Jenni ‘JWOWW’ Farley, Pauly ‘DJ Pauly D’ DelVecchio, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro also star on the reality series.
