Veteran kumawood actor, Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has doled out a word of advice to parents regarding where to raise their kids if they have the financial means.
According to Agya Koo, it wouldn’t be out of the world if parents feel theor kids are insecure in Ghana and would like to raise them abroad to feel secure.
He added that the rampant killings and insecurity in the country has triggered most parents to be extra cautious of their kids whenever they step out to play.
He made the submission in an interview on a Kumasi-based radio station.
he said: “Currently, most parents in this country are not comfortable even when their kids go out to play because they fear something might happen to their children. For me, if you are a parent and you have what it takes, send your children to America or other safer countries. The killing and kidnapping is too much in this country”,
Meanwhile, CEO of Miracle Films, Samuel Nyamekye recently revealed the main reason for the downfall of Agya Koo in the Kumawood movie industry.
He said that Agya Koo’s downfall was because of his constant travels so the producers in the industry had to devise a strategy to keep the industry going and as such, they had to talk to other actors to reduce their fees for the movies Agya Koo was not able to feature in.
“It came to a time that when Agya Koo traveled then the movie industry became stagnant because he was the only one who had the grace such that if he was not featured in a movie producer recorded low sales. Everybody wanted Agya Koo,” he said.
“All the producers came to me so that we could speak with other actors to reduce their demands for movies Agya Koo did not feature in. So, I chaired that meeting and I said a lot of things but someone later went and misconstrued what I said.”
