Sept. 2 (UPI) — Joe Rogan has announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has rescheduled a planned comedy show on Friday to October.
Rogan, a comedian, UFC commentator and host of the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Spotify, made his announcement on Instagram Wednesday and listed the medications he has taken.
The 54-year-old said he was feeling sick after coming home from traveling on Saturday and separated himself from his family. He then tested positive on Sunday and noted that he feels good now with Sunday being his only bad day.
Rogan said he threw the kitchen sink at the virus and used invermectin, monoclonal antibodies, a Z-Pak and prednisone, along with taking an NAD and a vitamin drip.
Invermectin is an anti-parasite drug commonly used in livestock, which health officials have strongly advised against using to treat COVID-19. The 54-year-old has not said he received the COVID-19 vaccine and has been dismissive of the vaccine in the past on his podcast.
Instagram added a tag to Rogan’s video that cites the World Health Organization and states, “Some unapproved COVID-19 treatments may cause serious harm.”
Rogan’s planned show with Dave Chappelle at the Bridestone Arena in Nashville has been moved to Oct. 24.
