Reading negative comments on social media is a recipe for committing suicide – Drumz

UK-based Afrobeats singer, Drumz has revealed that he doesn’t read comments under his social media posts because it triggers suicide.

He has asked creatives to constantly take breaks from social media to avoid being depressed.

“I don’t read comments on my post on social media because when you decide to do that you might even end up killing yourself. So I don’t read that’s how I stay out of it but sometimes people should be a little bit sensitive because we those in the creative space do also have wives and kids.

“When they read such posts on Facebook like someone wrote that I’m one of the poorest artistes and when I saw that I became sad because you don’t know the amount in my bank account and you’re saying I’m poor,” he added.

Speaking on the Kastle Entertainment Show, Drumz formerly known as Atumpan said people should be a bit sensitive about the kind of comments they script under people’s posts on social media.

“So sometimes people should be little sensitive towards us but it’s part of the game and in Ghana, if you don’t mind your words your name will be dragged into the mud,” he observed
