Ghanaian actor who also doubles as a politician, John Dumelo has publicly indicated that the Ghana Police Service is wasting the time of the various applicants who have purchased the police recruitment forms.
The member of the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) made this known in a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
Making the post, he revealed how a young Ghanaian who wants to be in the police called him from Kumasi to assist with money to buy the forms.
he made reads;
“Someone just called me from the Ashanti region. He wants 100gh to buy police recruitment forms so he can join the service. Should I just tell him it’s a waste of time? And that they already have the names of people they want to recruit?”
Reactions from some Ghanaians who saw the post are;
@espioj – Given how the vacancies have been advertised to the whole nation for at least 3 days, I’d say the person is pretty late. Competition must be fierce. But sure help him with the cash and see. But perhaps he should buy the other forms too to increase their chances.
@DillyLivingbird – Honorable this is funny but give the person the money and advice him/her to use it for something else. Other than that he/she is going to waste it. Those that would be chosen are already selected Annoying government
@BossmanWyse – Hmmm… This is so sad. From 2013 till now I have never been successful in joining the police… It really because I have no one to push me through…
