According to Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, Sarkodie should blame the renowned television station and awards scheme for discrediting him on his Apollo concert rather than blaming the average Ghanaian and the Ghanaian music industry for not projecting the concert to the rest of the world.
This comes after the rapper during one of the radio interviews in his visit to Nigeria stated how after Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy winning the BET African act award and hosting a show at Apollo Theater is now regarded as the first African artist to sell out the arena.
According to the Sark Nation boss, he sold out the Apollo Theater way back in 2015 before Burna Boy did it through his African Giant Tour about two years ago but now, the narrative is Burna Boy was the first African artist to ‘sold out’ the arena.
Arnold in a phone-in interview this morning on the ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show aired on Accra-based radio station Hitz FM and hosted by multitalented on-air personality and musician Andy Dosty on his take on the comments by the rapper stated Sarkodie should blaming BET for the wrong narrative about who first ‘sold out’ the Apollo Theather between himself and Burna Boy and not Ghanaians.
He said Ghanaians have been supporting the rapper since his early days in the Ghanaian music industry and the narration about the Apollo Theater saga should not be pushed on them for not celebrating the moment well enough.
