Aug. 21 (UPI) — Carrie Ann Inaba has announced she will not return as a co-host of the daytime chat show The Talk.

In videos posted on social media Friday, Inaba explained that she, the show and CBS have “mutually agreed to part ways.”

She said she was grateful for the experience and had made “lifelong friendships.”

Inaba added, “It has been an honor to be a part of your lives and to have a voice.”

Inaba had been absent from the show since April when she announced she was taking a break to focus on her health after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis and Sjögren’s syndrome, an immune system disorder.

“I know you guys understand, health is the most important thing. So, I appreciate your support, I appreciate the love and support from The Talk family, and I hope to be back soon,” she said at the time. “Take care and I’ll keep you updated. Thank you.”

Inaba was made a permanent co-host on The Talk in January 2019 following Julie Chen’s departure. Inaba’s leave of absence followed shortly after Sharon Osbourne’s exit from the show in March.

The Talk now features Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell and Elaine Welteroth as hosts.

Inaba said in July she would return as a judge on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

The Season 30 panel will also include Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.
