Aug. 20 (UPI) — Teen Mom 2 star Brianna DeJesus has called off her engagement to Javi Gonzalez.
The 27-year-old television personality confirmed Thursday on Instagram Stories that she’s now single.
DeJesus shared the news during a Q&A with fans. When asked if she’s single, DeJesus responded “Yes.” She confirmed Friday that she and Gonzalez are no longer engaged.
“Mutual agreement. I got ish I need to work on and goals I need to meet,” DeJesus said of the split. “I don’t feel like it’s fair dragging anyone along while I do those things.”

DeJesus said “nothing crazy” happened between her and Gonzalez to cause the split.
“I came to the conclusion that I thought I wanted to be in a relationship, but in reality, the thought of it sounded nice but I am just not ready for it,” DeJesus said.
“Had a great year with him but rn I have other plans. Maybe in the future we will meet again. I love him and he’s a great guy,” she added of Gonzalez.

DeJesus said she doesn’t plan to marry “any time soon.”
DeJesus and Gonzalez got engaged in May after about eight months of dating. DeJesus had discussed their relationship in an interview with E! News earlier in the month.
“We’ve been taking it very slow. I try not to keep him around the cameras too much because he’s not very comfortable,” DeJesus said at the time.
“I’m navigating and I’m trying and I hope he’s the one,” she added. “He’s so nice. I’ve never met a man this sincere and genuine and that respects me so much.”
DeJesus has two daughters, Nova, 9, with Devoin Austin, and Stella, 3, with Luiz Hernandez, while Gonzalez has two children from a previous relationship.
Teen Mom 2 completed its 10th season on MTV in July. The reality series co-stars Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Jade Cline and Ashley Jones.
