Many have argued that when it comes to entertainment, especially music, Nigerians seems to dominate the international market than Ghanaians. The likes of Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid over the years have achieved global stands with their craft which most people believe might be a result of the support their fans throw behind them.
Although a few Ghanaian artists have also proven themselves worthy to be celebrated globally, according to Sarkodie, they lack the home support they need to break global boundaries.
Speaking in an interview on the Beat 99.9 FM in Nigeria, Sarkodie said that Nigerians have a movement that supports their artists no matter the kind of music they do.
He said that Nigerians appreciate their music very well than any other group of people in the world, same as Americans who are so into their music and will do anything to to push their artists to the top, unlike Ghanaians.
He claims such movements have made things easier for any artist to achieve global heights and again popularity across the globe and that is something Ghanaians should emulate.
