Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn to face Morocco’s Atlas Lions in Group C of the 2021 AFCON tournament, which will be held in Cameroon in January next year.

Comoros and Gabon, are also included in the group.

The draw took place on Tuesday evening in Yaounde, Cameroon, and was attended by several high-profile African football figures, including CAF President Patrice Motsepe and former players Asamoah Gyan, Didier Drogba, Rabah Madjer, Samuel Eto’o, Rigobert Song, and Roger Milla.

AFCON 2021 tournament start date is between January 9 and February 6, 2022, a year later than usual due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ghana will begin its campaign in the tournament against Morocco on January 10, 2022, at Yaounde’s Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.

They will return to the same venue on January 14 to face Gabon but will travel to Garoua on January 18 to conclude their group stage run against Comoros.
