The Hiphop/Rap culture in Ghana has just been bolstered after rappers Obibini and Amerado swung into lyrical war over the last couple of hours.

The beef started when Amerado delivered a flawless freestyle on Capital Radio hosted by award-winning British DJ and presenter Tim Westwood in the UK and dropped a line ‘Wudini’ in his verse.

Amerado who’s unarguably the most conspicuous rapper from Sarkodie’s Biiba Project further asked Obinini what he has achieved as a rapper for him to be throwing needless shots at him without any provocation.

When Obibini’s attention was drawn to the line Amerado dropped during his freestyle session that made mention of his catchphrase ‘Wudini’ albeit Amerado had later explained that the lyric ‘Wudini’ was not a reference to the Zylofon signed artiste, he still took offense.

Obinini was later spotted in a video telling Amerado subtly that he has not reached his level hence there’s no amount of showmanship that will get him at par with him.

Amerado noticed the subliminal shots aimed at him and replied in a conversation with MzGee on TV3 saying Obinini is acting childish hence if he feels he has offended him, all he has to do to demonstrate his so-called greatness is to hit the studio and show him what he has.

He also mentioned that he doesn’t see what Obibini has achieved as a rapper for him to be claiming that he has been disrespected by him (Amerado).

Obibini

“I didn’t mention Obibini’s name, but if he doesn’t like what I said, he should go to the studio and diss me. What has he achieved more than me? He shouldn’t get me pissed. What has Obibini done in this world?

“What has Obibini done in the world? He should just support a young guy trying to elevate Ghana. Why is he not talking about the fact that I was so selfless, and I mentioned almost everybody’s name trying to project our Ghanaian music to the world? Did I even go straight at somebody?” he continued.

Following this back and forth, Obibini accepted the challenge and dropped the ‘Desceased’ diss song which was quickly replied to by Amerado in the ‘Throne’ song.

Obinini who did want to be undone by his younger foe returned with ‘Carcass,’ a development that has pumped much effervescent into the rap culture over the past few hours.

1. Deceased – Obibini

2.The Throne – Amerado
