Rapper Sarkodie in an exclusive interview with Tim Westwood admitted to the fact that although he appreciates the drill music, he does not think he can do it with the same be]neryg as the Kumierca boys.
According to him, he likes the sound and appreciates the work the new artistes are putting in order to popularize the drill thingy but he feels it is not his thing.
Sarkodie added that although he can rap on the drill beat he does not think he can convey all his thoughts and emotions as perfectly as he should.
‘I love drill music, I love to listen to it. The stuff they talk about suit the genre. People push me to do drill music which I can since I rap. But I feel, the authentic drill has a message that I like but cannot relate to talking about it,”
He made mention of Yaw Tog, Kofi Jamar and Amerado…commending them for their work so far and how far they have come as Kumerica artistes.
