Social media was awash with divergent views and counterattacks between music fans and connoisseurs when Yaw Tog inadvertently told MzGee on TV3 that his collabo with Stormzy helped elevate his status in Ghana.
Tog had said in that particular interview that Stormzy helped him gain international recognition owing to his background as one of the topmost artistes in the UK but in the same vein, he also made him popular in Ghana.
After his pronouncement divided opinions, Tim Westwood has said Yaw Tog never erred or disrespected Stormzy because his statement wields so much truism.
Tim said this when he hosted Yaw Tog, Kwaku Flick and Amerado in his studios at Capital Radio in London when after the trio had a concert in London.
Tim Westwood is often referred to by other DJs and artists appearing on his shows simply as Westwood.
He presented the MTV UK show Pimp My Ride UK. In 2013, Westwood left BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra after nearly twenty years and returned to Capital Radio.
