When Sarkodie appeared on Abeiku Santana’s show to speak about his new album “No Pressure”, he used the opportunity to send a strong message to his naysayers, especially Kwadwo Sheldon.
Kwadwo Sheldon is a young Ghanaian YouTuber who has metamorphosed into an entertainment critic. Interestingly, he strongly critiques and downplays the works and efforts of top artistes like Medikal, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie.
On his YouTube channel, Kwadwo Sheldon has built some controversial imagesfor himself as the one who looks for the loopholes in the works of artistes and magnifies them. In fact, he had had some recent social media brawl with Shatta Wale for critiquing the SM Boss’s work and passing very unpalatable comments about his personality.
Before the release of Sarkodie’s “No Pressure” album, Kwadwo Sheldon had shared a series of tweets to encourage music-loving fans not to put much importance on the piece since it will not be extraordinary.
Right after the “No Pressure” album was released, Kwadwo Sheldon took to his YouTube channel to break down the songs and explain the thinking or concept behind every piece of word. He pointed out some loopholes in some of the songs and so on and so forth.
Well, Abeiku Santana wanted to find out whether Kwadwo Sheldon’s contact critiquing and belittling of his works have had a toll on him, an emotionally-looking Sarkodie hesitated a bit but found his voice to say the following:
“Kwadwo Sheldon is not my friend. I don’t know him. The shades he throws at me do not get me. At this point, I do not put much relevance on words from people like Kwadwo Sheldon.”
“It has become hard for me to be hit by words from critics. It will only take a handful of people to critique me for it to really get at me.”
