Speaking to Pulse, the presenter said she will be venturing into other spaces within the entertainment industry.

“I am grateful for the experience. It shaped me and helped me grow professionally. I have learnt so much during my time with HBR, but it is time for something new,” she said during a phone interview.

Ruby is the founder of Unkut Hip Hop, one of the biggest platforms and advocates for Hip Hop culture in the 254.

DJ Sun-El to headline Seven Islands festival

Elsewhere, South African electronic dance music producer and DJ Sun-El will return for his second visit to Kenya this year, and his first coastal headlining show at the Seven Islands Festival.

Seven Islands is a premium dance music event that takes place over three days at the sandy white beaches of the Kenyan coastline in a bid to promote Kenyan musicians and local tourism.

Sun-El will be gracing the beaches of Watamu in August alongside the usual suspects Suraj and Co as they bring the best of EDM to the corals of Watamu.

The Akanamali hit-maker is still relishing the release of his last music album To The World And Beyond that dropped in December featuring a number of world-class superstars, including Sauti Sol on the track Fire.
