Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Epixode has apologised to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy over the comment he made after winning VGMA Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

His 2021 VGMA Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year win, according to many was possible because of the absence of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who has been banned from the award scheme for indecent behaviour.

Recall that Epixode, after winning the Vodafone Ghana Awards Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year a few weeks ago, made mention that he wouldn’t have made it to the podium should Shatta Wale Stonebwoy were in that category.

He had also previously claimed in an interview that the VGMAs board suspending Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale following their altercation at the 2019 edition of the award was a gift in disguise for him.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show, the ‘Odeshi’ hitmaker rendered an apology to the two musicians if his statements regarding their suspension offended them or made them feel insulted.

He clarified that his remark was made in a pleasant manner and was not intended to spark a feud between the two musicians, as certain media outlets and internet news outlets are attempting to do.

Epixode also expressed his sincere regret to the followers of Shatta Movement and Bhim Nation, as well as the camps of Shatta Movement and Bhim Nation, for the remark.
