Recall Da Hammer over the weekend on Asempa FM stated that the various award schemes in Ghana mostly pushes most artists into depression after they fail to win any award after receiving many nominations.
He said the various schemes should start modifying their structures and policies in organizing such awards to seek the interest of the artists rather than giving them depression after their award ceremonies.
In an interview with Andy Dosty morning on the ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show on Hitz FM, the legendary producer, and The Last Two Entertainment boss stated he’s not debunking the fact that the awards schemes in the country are not good.
He explained that award schemes are good and boost the morale and the confidence level of musicians but it’s important for organizers and the board of these award schemes to get things right when it comes to the artists interest.
According to Da Hammer, some important categories like the ‘Artist of the Year’ award among others shouldn’t be voted for by the general to determine who emerges as the winner as the level of favoritism in winning that award has taken a better tool in that ultimate award.
