Ashcell lauded for business growth over the last decade

Kumasi, July 13, GNA – Ashcell Limited, sole distributors of MTN products, has been lauded for its professionalism and customer care.

The company, through its efficient service delivery and innovative ideas, had been instrumental in satisfying the growing number of the customer base of the telecommunications giants, Mr. Simon Amoh, the MTN Ghana General-Manager for the Northern Sector, stated.
He entreated the Management to continue to work assiduously for sustainable growth, saying MTN was proud to be associated with the distribution company.
Mr. Amoh was addressing a ceremony in Kumasi, to mark the tenth anniversary of Ashcell.
He said businesses were evolving due to the advancement in technology and urged Ashcell not to relent in exploring avenues to enhance the skills of its staff.
He said staff training was critical to enable them to build their capacity for efficient service delivery.
Mr. Fouad Jabakhanji, Managing Director, Ashcell, said by dint of hard work, the annual turnover of the company had grown substantially over the years to the current figure of GHC540 million.
He attributed the company’s success to team work, commitment, excellent services and strong leadership.
“I know we can still do it,” he encouraged the staff, and advised them to be dedicated to the ideals of the company.
Mr. Jerry Otchi, Corporate Services Executive, Ashcell, said the company would continue to be innovative and enhance the skills of its core staff in order to survive the competition on the market.
The company would also invest in digital operation in line with the advancement in technology, he added.
Mr Otchi said the company’s work was about the exclusive selling, marketing and distribution of MTN products which included, but not limited to recharge cards, electronic voucher distribution (EVD), devices and accessories and business solutions within the Ashanti Region.
It has over 30 branches as well as management centres across the Region, and its distribution cuts across about 30,000 points of sales through the network of retailers, wholesalers, sub-dealers and Local Agent Schemes (LAS).
