Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung, has accused politicians of being responsible for the mutual suspicion, hatred and mistrust among Nigerians thereby fueling insecurity in the country.
Dalung stated this on Tuesday during the first National Conference of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Bauchi State chapter, with the theme “Insecurity, Economic Growth and Governance Triangle: Nigeria in Focus” held in Bauchi.

He stated that the trend had continued to put the lives of innocent citizens in danger on a daily basis.
He added that unless such bad leaders eschewed sentiments and reset their cultural values, they could not surmount the security challenges bedeviling the nation.
