It would be vividly recalled that Yaw Tog on the New Day show on TV3 with MzGee said that Stormzy made him more popular on the music market but he also hyped him in Ghana.
According to the “Sore” crooner, his feature with the British rapper gave him more fame in Ghana because most people did not know about him until after his feature on his “Sore” remix.
In reaction to his claims, Joy FM’s Sammy Forson quickly lashed out at the young rapper after his utterances, tagging him as disrespectful.
Sammy Forson went further to describe Yaw Tog’s comment as a loose talk, adding that such comments are what encourages selfish behaviors in the Ghana industry.
He wrote; Yaw Tog’s comments about making Stomzy popular in GH are the kind that unfortunately encourage selfish behavior in the industry.. If u know what it takes to be a mainstream artist in the UK and play listed into other parts of europe, u won’t loose talk.. Smh.. Focus on ur music
Reacting to his tweet, Sadiq Abu said who has carefully assessed the young rapper’s comment has said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with his claims.
He seems not to fathom why the likes of Sammy Forson will be in a rush to throw Yaw Tog under the bus although his comment was harmless.
“Of all the commentary on Yaw Tog’s recent comments. This was the most shocking. What’s the rush to throw the young act under the bus? What’s this attempt to “police” his speech and commentary. Look at the unfair spin he puts to it as well. I watched the video, nothing wrong with Tog’s commentary. Quite clearly, the intent behind his commentary was harmless. On this comment, leave the young act alone, he wrote on his Facebook timeline.
