Sammy Forson has slammed Kumerican rapper, Yaw Tog over his recent comment that he made Stormzy popular in Ghana.
The BET award-winning Ghanaian-UK hopped on Yaw Tog’s ‘Sore’ remix last year. The song came as a surprise to music lovers and its official visuals made history as the first Ghanaian music video to hit 1 million views in 3 days.
Yaw Tog believes Stormzy wasn’t known by many people in Ghana until he featured him on his record-breaking ‘Sore’ remix.
Following his comment on Stormzy, Sammy Forson in a series of tweets tagged Yaw Tog as ungrateful.
A fumed Sammy Forson hopped on Twitter and wrote;
“Yaw Tog’s comments about making Stomzy popular in GH are the kind that unfortunately encourage selfish behavior in the industry.. If u know what it takes to be a mainstream artist in the UK and play listed into other parts of europe, u won’t loose talk.. Smh.. Focus on ur music”.
In another reply to Lydia Forson’s tweet, Sammy Forson said this;
Sis, I am very excited for yaw tog and it is my wish for his team to rather leverage on the relationship to get plugged into Stormzy’s wide audience. The UK space can take his talent to a different level. That’s the opportunity he has and his comments can rather ruin that
