According to the fan, top Ghanaian Dancehall musician Shatta Wale as a brand ambassador for tech and mobile phone manufacturing company Infinix together held a mini-rally for his fans in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said this mini rally held by the dancehall musician and Infinix happened at the full glare of the Ghana Police Service without making any effort of stopping them or forcing the audience to adhere to the various COVID19 protocols set in place by the government and the Ghana Health Service.
He continued the police have been using the COVID19 protocols as an excuse of preventing so many demonstrators from embarking on their intended demonstrations in the country for the past few months but will allow some shows and rallies to go on without forcing the people to adhere to the COVID19 protocols.
His post on the social media platform suggests that the Ghana Police Service is trying in every way possible to prevent any form of demonstrations that goes against the sitting Akufo-Addo led government to make it look on unpopular.
Ghana Police allowed Shatta wale and Infinix to hold a mini rally but will not allow the citizens to carry out their constitutional rights? The police only remember #COVID19 Restrictions when people who are not in gov want to demonstrate. #FixTheCountry@efiaodo1@gyaigyimii
